WPTC Alanya - Sprint

The Alanya World Cup made me suffer. The swim was a bit of a letdown for me because I came out of the water second to last, but I still swam my fastest time. The jump on the bike wasn't great, so I couldn't get in my shoe in and lost some time. So I fought my way back to the front on the bike and raced the blue rocket for the first time. I got off the bike to take second place in my starting wave (PTS2-3-4). The run was very tough because of the heat and the course, which went slightly uphill and then steeply downhill, which gave me an advantage. That way, I managed to hold on for second place overall and first place in the PTS2.

Triathlon Hofstade - Sprint

The swim went pretty well, although I did get a few knocks. But after a while, my neck started to hurt, and I had trouble seeing and breathing. I unzipped my wetsuit on dry land, which was new, but it came off quite easily. Jumping on was a complete failure. During the bike ride, I immediately found myself with another woman who was running a good pace. During the second lap, another woman joined me and immediately wanted to pick up the pace, but she couldn't maintain it for long. She then tried to pass other women, but we had to do the rest, which I didn't agree with. So I went from the back to the front and kept more or less the same pace. I managed to finish in the group, but with a better feeling. I thought the transition went quite well. I felt pretty good during the run, starting with 6 minutes but quickly dropping to 5:50. After that, I eased off a bit, but I was quite happy with the run. It was very tough, but I was very satisfied. I actually finished feeling like I could have gone a bit faster.
A personal best for my overall time.

Triathlon Assenede - Sprint

The Assenede Sprint wasn't the best race. It was a race where I had to give it my all, but I also made some small mistakes. I struggled a bit with the swim and threw a few punches at the beginning. A minor ache left me with some pain in my upper arm. Jumping back on the bike wasn't so easy. There was a lot of wind on the bike, and I started with an empty tank. There were also a lot of strong women, so I had a very tough bike leg with some rough corners, and I was happy to start the run. I gradually built up the run and was able to maintain my pace and go all out on the second lap, which I was happy with. do a good run. I think I've had one of the better runs in my races.

WPTC Tata - Sprint

Competition to learn from. I was alone on the start line and was totally not focused on the race. Mentally was it very tough and was not in the feeling. The swimstart was good but  my goggles immediately fogged up. My swim was very slow and my wetsuit didn't come of properly. My transition was not good and wasted a lot of time. On the bike the two first round I started too fast and paid for this in the other rounds. In my run I was given an assignment that I could focus on and

actually do a good run. I think I've had

one of the better runs in my races.

BC Rotterdam - Sprint

Two titles in the last two weeks!
I was able to learn a lot in the competition by trying new things that I had praticed during training. This was for me better race than EC throught circumstances in Besançon.
Overall first women and Belgian champ in PTS2!!

I got off to a good start. My goggles fogged up, making it quite difficult to swim straight, but I think I did okay. I think I could have swum a bit faster. On the bike, I found it very difficult to find the right position and stay confident on my bike in the wind. I think I managed my running better than in previous races. I tried to maintain a consistent feeling in my legs throughout, which made me feel good during the run and allowed me to run a bit faster at the right times, which felt good.

EC Besançon - Sprint

What a day!
First history made by starting with 3 athletes and then winning a European title with a good lead.

I got off to a great start in the swimming and was in the second group out of the water.
During the cycling I caught up with everyone and made a lead of more than 2 minutes. Even though I had to stop for a moment due to chain problems.

Without knowing that I was first and thinking that I was second, I started running. A tough course in the full sun. Which made it especially hard work and a lot of cooling down. I couldn't believe that I was first and had to ask but also cool down immediately.

Triathlon Hoogstraten - Sprint

Not a very good race for me. The swimming went very well and I got my wetsuit off pretty quickly. When I got into the transition I saw that my entire transition was different which gave me a bit of panic, but I made the best of it. I had found a good group for cycling and a strong lady joined which made it very tough and at the end I got some spasms and some pain in my left knee. I had to give in to a not too fast pace for running due to spasms and my knee + a bit of pain in my foot.
A time of 1.35.09h.

Triathlon Viersel - Sprint

My swim was very good, i didn't start to fast and I swam a gap and came out of the water in a group. My transition was better than previous season. In the bike I got a cramp in my knee and did full round alone. The second round I found someone to ride with. The run was a pain in the ass, it gone from good to bad. I was very happy that I was finished.

Indoor aquarun Lievin - Super sprint

It was a cool experience, the tension was up. Triathlon doing for big crowd was a unique way. The swim was very rare, swimming straight was very difficult. My transition was very fast. The run was short and fast, so short that I got difficults with my stomach.
